The Friends of Chamber Music  present the 2012 BACH FESTIVAL
www.chambermusic.org
When I was in high school, I wanted to be an actress.  Our  choir director collaborated with a music teacher who gave piano and voice lessons.  No one had to tell me that, if I wanted to be a soloist, I needed to enroll in her voice classes.  Mrs. Schupp also arranged for her students to attend vocal and instrumental concerts at venues throughout St. Louis.  My first concert was an organ recital; Mario Salvadore played Bach’s Wedding Cantata at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis … and I fell in love with Baroque music.  The Baroque era (1600 – 1760) followed the Renaissance and preceded the Classical era.  Thank you, Mrs. Schupp, and to all of the musicians and music aficionados who introduced us to these music masters.
